In The Works in Malibu

Malibu, with its breathtaking landscapes and serene ocean views, is home to some of the most stunning architectural masterpieces. With over 30 projects currently under construction, we have a diverse array of homes in various stages of development. Each project embodies a unique blend of innovative design, sustainability, and a deep respect for the natural environment. These projects are not just structures but thoughtfully crafted spaces that harmonize with Malibu's natural beauty while providing unparalleled luxury and comfort. This article explores the distinctive features and visionary designs of two beautiful residences.

Marisol 10 & 11

Nestled within the exclusive Marisol community, Marisol 10 & 11 stand out among the 17 distinct lots. This project seamlessly blends luxury and nature, featuring a main residence and a guesthouse. The design includes a greenhouse, emphasizing the homeowner's love for nature. Aradia steel windows frame the expansive openings, maintaining a sleek, modern aesthetic complemented by thin plate steel headers. A boardwalk connects the main house and guesthouse, mimicking the natural contours of the ocean bluff, while the thoughtful placement of a beautiful selection of olive trees defines the entry. Tesla shingles on the roof reflect the project's commitment to sustainability. The bedroom suites along the West side of the main house each feature corner windows designed to maximize ocean views, while the master bedroom spans the entire second floor, offering unparalleled vistas. The organically shaped pool mirrors the coastline's natural forms, avoiding rigid lines to create a harmonious connection with the surrounding landscape.

Marisol 13

Currently in the permitting phase, Marisol 13 is one of the last vacant lots in the Marisol community, offering unique design challenges and opportunities. The home features a reversed-view floor plan, with the backyard serving as the front yard. Designed in a U-shape, with an exterior courtyard, the layout was designed in response to the winds that can be present on the site. Massive 48-foot pocketing doors will provide unobstructed views from the courtyard to the ocean while shielding the space from the wind. The sheltered courtyard also protects the pool from prevailing winds. The layout of this one-story dwelling centers all spaces, creating a private, protected oasis that harmonizes with the lot's constraints and high-wind conditions.

Both of these projects showcase our dedication to innovative, sustainable, and high-level design, ensuring every home harmonizes with its unique Malibu surroundings. To stay tuned as these projects continue to take shape, sign up for our email newsletter below.
